At The Psych Assessment Studio, we believe that feeling understood, safe, and genuinely supported is one of the most important parts of the assessment and therapy process. Our team is passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming care that recognises each person as a whole individual – not just a diagnosis, checklist, or set of challenges.
Our psychologists bring together extensive clinical experience, ongoing professional development and lived experience of neurodivergence, pr parenting neurodivergent children themselves. This combination allows us to approach assessments and support with both professional knowledge and genuine empathy, understanding, and insight.
We understand that many individuals and families come to us after years of feeling misunderstood, overlooked, “too complex,” or unsupported within traditional systems. Because of this, we prioritise creating an environment that feels welcoming, flexible, collaborative, and affirming from the very beginning.
What makes our team different:
We recognise that no two people are the same. Our psychologists take the time to understand each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, interests, identity, and support needs. We also understand that neurodivergence can present differently across genders, cultures, personalities, and life stages, which is why we take an individualised approach to every assessment and support journey.
Our goal is not simply to provide answers, but to help individuals and families gain deeper self-understanding, self-compassion, confidence, and access to real-world supports that allow them to thrive in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
Initial Intake Consultation: $290.00*
Cost per Session: $240.00 (Private) / $232.99 (NDIS)
*Why the higher fee for the intake? Our initial intake session is more comprehensive than a standard appointment, as it involves detailed clinical history gathering, review of referral information, and exploration of current strengths, support needs, and goals. Prior to and following the session, clinicians also spend significant time reviewing and collating previous reports, school documentation, Mental Health Care Plans, questionnaires, medical information, and other relevant background material to ensure the assessment process is thorough, individualised, and well-informed from the outset.
