Our Functional Capacity Assessments provide a comprehensive, strengths-focused understanding of how an individual thinks, learns, communicates, and participates in daily life. These assessments are particularly helpful for NDIS planning, support coordination, school or workplace adjustments, and guiding next steps in a person’s wellbeing and development journey.
We begin with a supportive, collaborative conversation to understand the person’s unique neurotype, lived experiences, routines, strengths, and daily challenges. This allows us to tailor the assessment to what truly matters in their life. The assessment explores daily functioning across areas such as communication, learning, emotional regulation, social participation, attention and executive functioning, self-care, play, and independence. Activities are matched to the person’s age and comfort, using observation, gentle interview, structured tasks, and validated questionnaires. We also integrate information from multiple sources (parent/client interview, behavioural observations, questionnaires, and professional input)
We frame findings around natural differences, environmental fit, and support needs, not deficits. You receive a detailed report with tailored strategies for home, school, community, and support teams. Reports are written in a clear, accessible format suitable for NDIS reviews, access requests, or progress reporting.
Our goal is to help individuals, their families and practitioners understand what supports will best enhance a person’s wellbeing, independence, and participation.
