We offer gentle, play-based developmental assessments to help families better understand their child’s emerging strengths, learning style, and support needs. Our team uses tools such as the Bayley-4 and Griffiths assessments to build a holistic picture of your child’s development.
We begin with a collaborative parent consultation via telehealth to learn about your child’s interests, unique traits, and daily experiences. This allows us to tailor the assessment to suit their neurotype and comfort.
Your child will then attend the assessment session (with you present the entire time) and will be supported through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that explore areas such as communication, cognitive skills, motor abilities, social interaction, and early learning patterns. The focus is on connection, not pressure, so children can show us their natural way of thinking and engaging with the world.
You receive a detailed, parent-friendly report outlining strengths, growth areas, and strategies for home, preschool, and community settings. Assessments can assist with referrals to paediatricians, NDIS applications, or school readiness planning in a compassionate and evidence-based manner.
We also know many children face long waitlists for occupational therapy or speech therapy. To bridge this gap, our team offers developmental therapy sessions after the assessment. These sessions help nurture your child’s communication, play, emotional regulation, motor skills, and school readiness while you wait for additional supports.
