The Psych Assessment Studio was founded by Tyla Stroebel, a Psychologist with AHPRA and a full member of the APS and AAPI.
Originally from South Africa, Tyla enjoys working with clients from all different cultures and prides herself on being able to build incredible rapport with the families she assists. She holds degrees in counselling, criminology and psychology and completed her Masters degree, before qualifying as a professional in the field of psychology. She further has lived experience as an ADHDer.
Tyla has a love and passion for neuro and developmental psychology and came to focus on psychometric and diagnostic assessments. She has extensive experience and training in the field of ADHD, Autism, developmental difficulties and challenging behaviours. She further has a keen interest in ADHD and Autism, specifically in young girls and women, and those traits and presentations that fly under the radar. She is a behaviour specialist with the NDIS and is passionate about advocating for the mindset change from non-affirming positive behavioural support to accommodation changes and understanding the functions of behaviours from an affirming paradigm.
Tyla currently works on our most complex assessments and provides ongoing supervision and training.
Jess is a registered counsellor with a commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals on their journey to self-discovery, acceptance and understanding.
With degrees in counselling and psychology, including a recent Master of Science in Psychology, Jess brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a counsellor. Her passion lies in working with individuals across diverse backgrounds, ages, and cultures, offering a space where neurodivergent individuals can explore their unique strengths and challenges.
Jess employs a strengths-based approach to counselling and support, focusing on empowering her clients to thrive despite their challenges. She understands the importance of creating a non-judgmental environment where individuals can freely express themselves and navigate their personal experiences with ADHD and Autism.
Jess offers telehealth sessions after-hours (between 2pm and 8pm) to accommodate the needs of her adolescent and adult clients.
In her spare time, Jess enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
Lisa is a Registered Psychologist, certified by AHPRA and a Member of the APS. Lisa holds an undergraduate and Master’s degree in psychology.
Lisa is passionate about assisting clients of all ages to reach their potential by focusing on individual areas of strength, embracing their
uniqueness, and helping them take active steps to improve overall well-being. Lisa assists young children, parents, and adult clients.
Lisa works within a neurodiversity-affirming framework, which focuses on
the natural variation of the human experience, utilising assessments, counselling and play to assist clients in gaining positive outcomes.
Lisa brings an empathic and encouraging framework to working with clients. Using a person-centred, non-judgmental approach, she believes in building a strong rapport to support and empower clients.
Lisa has certification in the principles and practice of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She also uses the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques to help clients achieve their goals and make rewarding changes in their lives. She is passionate about adapting these practices for neurodivergent minds. Furthermore, she utilises play therapy in her work with children. Lisa is also able to complete assessments.
Lisa currently works in our Caringbah practice on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and is available for assessments every Friday fortnight.
Ronella is a compassionate and collaborative psychologist with deep experience supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults. She is committed to creating environments where people feel understood, respected, and empowered. Ronella blends evidence-based approaches with a neurodiversity-affirming mindset.
Her background spans therapeutic work, developmental and mental-health assessments, trauma and crisis support, and group programs. Ronella is known for her calm presence, reflective practice, and ability to make others feel safe and understood.
She has supported clients across neurotypes, learning differences, trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, substance use, and identity development, always prioritising dignity, connection, and accessible strategies for daily life.
Ronella is a registered psychologist, currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology, continuing her commitment to growth and excellence in psychology.
Ronella is available at Oran Park on Monday and Friday, and in Caringbah on a Wednesday .
Lauren is a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and a full member of the APS. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology and Communications, as well as an Honours degree in Psychology (Cum Laude) from the University of South Africa.
Lauren supports clients across the lifespan and works within a neurodiversity-affirming framework that celebrates the natural variation of human experience. She is passionate about recognising individual strengths, embracing each person’s unique identity, and helping clients cultivate lives that feel meaningful and aligned with their values.
Lauren brings a warm, collaborative and person-centred approach to therapy. She draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused techniques. She particularly enjoys supporting children through play-based methods and has volunteered in play-focused therapeutic support at Randwick Children’s Hospital, where she helped young people express themselves through creativity and connection.
Originally from South Africa, Lauren has also lived in Spain, giving her a rich appreciation for cultural diversity, belonging, and the challenges of adapting to new environments. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and values learning about the individual stories, identities and cultures they bring to therapy.
Outside of her clinical work, Lauren enjoys exploring new places, connecting with animals, and adventuring through life with her little ones.
